Tabatznik, Mendel
(1894-1975)
   South African Yiddish essayist and poet. He was born in Kletsk, in Belorussia, and became the director of a Yiddish elementary school in Mir. In 1927 he settled in Jo hannesburg, South Africa, where he taught Yiddish and published articles about pedagogical issues. He also wrote poetry and an autobiographical novel.
